The PLUGG Program (Perspective Living Using Grace and Guidance) connects our young men to purpose, positive guidance, and leadership which will empower them to be their best selves. PLUGG Talks are designed to deep dive with our participants in group settings, individual instructions, and peer encouragement and leadership. PLUGG Talks equip our young men with the proper tools for positive self-esteem, relationship building, and the ability to make responsible and wise choices as they enter adulthood.
This program was created to help our young men understand who they are, and where they are, but challenges them to discover who they want to be and thrive. We believe that if they understand who they are, they can then understand their designed purpose and navigate anywhere their minds will take them.
*PLUGG Program focuses on young men in grades 6th - 12th grade.*
** Sessions are facilitated weekly.**
Cypher Program will focus on the art of poetry, creative writing, and storytelling, while creating a positive space for young men to “release” their thoughts and positively manage social-emotional development so they can properly develop and grow their capacity to understand, experience, express, and manage emotions while developing self-awareness meaningful relationships with others.
Young men will have an opportunity to express themselves in an artistic format while learning the positive elements of self-control, self-expression, and creativity.
*Cypher focuses on young men in 6th - 12th grade. *
There is recognition of the complexity of surviving and living as a Black male. Due to numerous external social and environmental factors that have been pressed upon black men, it creates disparities in health and wellness, lifespan, and holistic quality of living. Specifically, barriers prohibit Black males from experiencing life to its fullest extent both internally and within their respective communities.
The KP Initiative continues to fill the need to create and support health and wellness as it pertains to minority males, especially Black males. Through our staple event Black Man Cry, Black Boy Laugh to health workshops and discussions, we recognize that proper health and wellness mentally, emotionally, and physically caters to the totality and wholeness of our males.
Black Male Well's end goal is to create space for Black males to be healthy so they can live healthy, productive, and full lives that impact communities.
